New Uber Promo: You’re likely missing out on every 10th ride free…

Capital One is asking us “What’s in your wallet?” after releasing their latest Uber promo.

Since I use Uber every day I consider their promos as good as cash. Luckily, Uber is out with a new deal with that gives you every 10th ride free through March 2017! This new promotion is not quite as good as last year’s deal, but hey…we’ll take it!

How to take advantage? All you have to do is link a new or existing Capital One Quicksilver card to your Uber account. As soon as you do, you’ll notice in the payments area a new tracker so you can keep an eye on your progress.

What’s the deal with the Quicksilver card? The great part about the Quicksilver card is that there’s no annual fee and you’ll also receive 1.5% cash back on all purchases (including your Uber rides) which makes it a great every day card regardless of this particular promo. In addition, they’re currently throwing in a $100 cash bonus after you open a card and spend $500 in the first 3 months.

TPS Pro Tip: Keep a close eye on your free trip progress. As soon as you’ve taken your 9th ride and earned a free trip, the $15 credit is automatically applied to the 10th trip unless you unselect the free ride when you request your Uber. So, if you’re taking a ride that’s >$15 then it’s fine, but if you’re taking a ride that’s <$15 you should save the credit for a more expensive ride.
